Meet Julia Fickenscher
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist
Hi, I'm Julia!
A registered dietitian focused on supporting:
Teens with Eating Disorders/Disordered Eating
Intuitive Eating for Adults
Adolescent Eating Disorder & Disordered Eating Treatment
Hi, I’m Julia Fickenscher, a Registered Dietitian who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating in adolescents. I work with teens struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, OSFED, and ARFID—often in the midst of some of the most challenging seasons of their lives.
If you're a parent, maybe you’ve noticed your child withdrawing during meals, avoiding previously enjoyed foods, or obsessing over their weight and body. You may be feeling confused, scared, or unsure of what’s “normal” versus what needs help. I want you to know this: you’re not alone, and your child can get better.
In my work with adolescents, I take a compassionate, developmentally-informed approach rooted in medical nutrition therapy, intuitive eating, and Health at Every Size®. I help teens nourish their bodies, rebuild trust in food, and develop a healthier relationship with themselves. At the same time, I collaborate closely with families and care teams to ensure each client is held in a safe, supportive environment.
Healing from an eating disorder is not just about food—it’s about identity, belonging, and self-worth. My role is to help your teen reconnect with who they are beyond the eating disorder, while building the skills they need to thrive.
Intuitive Eating and Food Freedom
If you're exhausted from dieting, frustrated with food, and disconnected from your body—you’re in the right place.
I help adults break free from the cycle of restriction, bingeing, guilt, and body shame through a highly personalized, weight-inclusive approach to intuitive eating. Many of the clients I work with have spent years chasing food rules—keto, Whole30, intermittent fasting—only to find themselves feeling more stuck, not less.
Maybe you…
Can’t stop thinking about food, even when you’re “eating healthy.”
Feel anxious or out of control around certain foods.
Swing between “being good” and “falling off the wagon.”
Want to care for your health—but don’t want to diet ever again.
Together, we unlearn harmful diet beliefs and build a new foundation rooted in self-trust, body respect, and sustainable nourishment. My approach is both practical and compassionate: we work on understanding hunger and fullness cues, exploring satisfaction and emotional eating, and finding health-promoting behaviors that feel good—not punishing.
The transformation? Clients walk away with more confidence in their food choices, less mental noise around eating, and a deeper sense of freedom and peace in their bodies. They stop chasing the next fix and start living their lives—fully and unapologetically.
If that sounds like the shift you’re ready for, I’d love to support you.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying gentle movement or in the kitchen cooking my way through a new cookbook. I’m also a certified barre instructor, which complements my belief in finding joy and balance through movement.
