Meet Kate Clark
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist
ARFID Specialist
Hi, I'm Kate!
If eating feels overwhelming, stressful, or just plain hard—whether for you, your child, or your whole family—you’re in the right place. I’m a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders, and I work with children, adolescents, and adults to heal their relationship with food.
I have a special passion for supporting individuals of all ages who struggle with eating due to Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), strong sensory sensitivities, emetophobia (fear of vomiting), OCD-related food fears, or the challenges associated with being neurodivergent. No matter your age or experience, my approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and respect for your unique needs.
How I can help:
I specialize in working with people who feel stuck in restrictive eating patterns, food-related anxiety, or sensory-driven food challenges. My goal is to make eating feel less overwhelming, more manageable, and ultimately more joyful—without pressure, judgment, or a one-size-fits-all approach.
For adults, I help expand food variety, rebuild trust in the body, and ease anxiety around meals.
For children and families, I often integrate elements of Modified Family-Based Treatment (FBT) to support caregivers in building a safe, supportive environment for food exploration and growth.
For neurodivergent clients, I tailor interventions to honor sensory experiences and reduce overwhelm around eating.
Whether you’re seeking help for yourself, your child, or your whole family, I’m here to offer compassionate, individualized support.
How We Can Work Together
I see clients both in-person at Mind Belly Soul Nutrition’s Center City office and virtually in several states. Whether you prefer hands-on in-person guidance or the convenience of virtual care, I’m committed to meeting you where you are.
Healing your relationship with food is possible—at any age—and I’d be honored to walk that journey with you.

Does This Sound Like You?
You feel anxious around food—whether it’s eating in general, trying something new, or the fear that a food might make you sick. Sometimes just the thought of eating brings up stress.
You’re highly sensitive to the textures, tastes, or smells of certain foods. What others may not even notice can feel overwhelming or even unbearable to you.
You don’t often feel hungry, or you forget to eat altogether. Eating might feel like a chore, and even when you know you should eat, you just don’t feel motivated to do so.
You worry a lot about vomiting (emetophobia), and it shapes your eating habits. You stick to a short list of “safe” foods and avoid anything that feels even slightly risky. The idea of trying new foods can feel downright terrifying.
Mealtimes are stressful. You want to eat "normally," but something always seems to get in the way.
Does This Sound Like Your Child?
They avoid certain foods because they’re afraid of choking or gagging. Even just thinking about certain textures makes them anxious.
They struggle with strong sensory reactions to food—textures, tastes, and smells can feel overwhelming, even unbearable.
They have little to no interest in eating. They forget to eat, feel full quickly, or don’t feel motivated to eat, even when they know they should.
They feel intense anxiety around vomiting (emetophobia), which makes them avoid foods they associate with getting sick. Maybe they only eat "safe" foods and feel panicked at the thought of trying something new.
Mealtimes feel like a constant battle. You want them to eat, but it just feels too hard.
Nutrition Counseling for Adults
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone, either.
My mission is to help individuals and families find greater ease with food, reduce stress around eating, and build a more peaceful relationship with nourishment at every stage of life.
